Convention and sale

2011 was an amazing year for JDS but 2012 is setting out to outdo it already! We are hosting our own event and it has been named Art-O-Con. We have already signed on over twenty artists/vendors and are adding more as I type this! Also we have booked awesome guests for photo ops and to entertain the kids! Members of the 501st Legion will be there in full costume. The Ontario Ghostbusters will be present too and in full gear. A real live Dalek will be roaming the show looking for humans to EXTERMINATE!!

Wolfsbane

Also, Paul has just finished the cover for our new book project; Wolfsbane. We plan to have this 52 page graphic novel printed and ready to put on the table at Fan Expo 2012! Here is a sneak peek!

Part II

Revealed at Fan Expo was the second installment of our mini-comic series; Zombies vs Schoolgirls. Part II revealed a little bit more about the zombies and tells of the epic battle and it’s aftermath. Fans of the first mini issue are sure to love the second.

We sold out of all our mini-comics but now part II is available in our site alongside part I!

Whew! Despite some pretty extreme weather this past weekend, including a heatwave and a freak thunderstorm, Jaded Dragon Studios is happy to say that the Big on Bloor festival was a great experience. There was an awesome variety in products displayed by all those who participated, and JDS felt right at home with all the other talented artisans. We really enjoyed chatting with other vendors and wanderers throughout the day, and felt that the overall experience was worth the time and effort (and the crazy weather). We want to thank everyone who came out and said hi, you made our day at Big on Bloor so awesome!

It’s been a very busy summer so far for Jaded Dragon Studios. We’ve been working hard on projects as well as preparing for FanExpo this August. We’re also excited to announce that we will be attending the Big on Bloor Festival this year! Click on their logo below to visit their website.

2011 is looking great already for JDS! We are going full steam on all our projects and are gearing up for Fanexpo (they’ve added an extra day this year!) as well as planning our own exhibition and sale for late Spring!
Paul has hooked up with an old friend in Vancouver and together they are taking on a 3 issue comic that will be available online. Very cool stuff indeed.
Also, Paul is beginning work on his pet project: Wolfsbane and he plans to have the first book finished later this year! Lara is pumping out more sculptures for the upcoming shows and they are looking as awesome as ever!!
